Summer glau

Firefly is Whedon the next big TV show that is a huge success. The actress must have made an indelible impression because the one episode that she appeared on led to her being a celebrity. Summer Glau played River Tam with great ease. Glau was an excellent actor. The character of Tam was forced to be a part of trials conducted by the government that required her to become an assassin. The ability of Tam to control her emotions was taken away from her. In Firefly Glau was in a position to display not only her acting ability but also her fighting skills. Glau could fully utilize her athletic abilities as she trained to be an assassin. The classical background of Summer Glau has made her a skilled ballerina. She's also trained in Flamenco and Tango, however an injury to her foot ended her dance career. Firefly was a one-off show but was a huge hit. It was so passionate that Whedon came back to the show just a couple of years after. While he was away, Summer Glau continued to get some quality work.
