Coleman is Lancashire-born. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight As for A-levels. If Coleman was asked about her role in Emmerdale she stated she regretted not to have had the typical university experience. When she was at school, Coleman was a member of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she performed at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. She won an award for her performance and the show was well-received. Coleman won the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with the drama school. Coleman was nominated twice in the year 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two awards: the British Soap Awards as the Most Popular Newcomer and also the National Television Awards as the most Popular. In 2009 she won nominations in two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman won a TV Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. On 21 March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat announced at a press event that Coleman would be the companion of the Doctor alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her because of her ability to work alongside Smith and also because she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's been involved in television and film projects. She is more well-known for her television work rather than films. Eva has played a variety of TV characters, however her roles as Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami have stood out. In the latter, she even received two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations and allowed her to explore her creativity in music. Eva is not just acting, but she's also a businesswoman and philanthropist. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
